Hi and welcome to Robins. Our teacher is Miss. Smith
Is every Tuesday. Please make sure your child has a full P.E. kit; a white t-shirt, black shorts trainers/plimsolls with their name on.
Home Reading Books
Your child’s book will be changed every Thursday.
Reading books are changed by the child with guidance from teaching staff. Each child is expected to read regularly at home (at least 3 times per week).
Maths and English Homework
This will be given out every Thursday to be returned to be returned on Monday. It will alternate – one-week Maths the following week English.
This will be given out on a Thursday to be returned the following Thursday.
Your child will receive new spellings on a Friday to be tested the following Friday.
In Robins we encourage the children to be as independent as possible. It is their responsibility to ensure they take their books and homework out of their bags and place them into the correct baskets. If your child does not complete or return their homework they will miss their Golden Time reward on a Friday afternoon.

The Robins really enjoyed the internet safety workshop. They learnt how to deal with cyber bullies and how to keep our personal information private. Thank you to Amy for making the workshop fun!!!

The fire service came to visit Year 2 to talk to them about being a firefighter and keeping themselves safe. The children found out about the equipment the firefighters use, dressed up in the uniform and had great fun!
In PE this week the Robins have been acting out creatures and plant life from the Rainbow Fish story. We acted out octopuses, star fish, seaweed and coral. It was a lot of fun!!!
In the Robins we have been looking at how to be safe on the internet. We put on masks and pretended to be different people. We know it is very important that we don't share our information with people we don't know because they might trick you like the Big Bad Wolf!!!!
We have really enjoyed mixing different paints to make skin colours. This was in preparation for our Royal portraits!!!
As you can see from the photographs we had a great morning playtime today. The children had SO much fun playing in the snow making snowmen. We just had to enjoy it before it all disappears!
The whole school had a great time in the hall this morning at our Christmas Sing Along. There was lots of singing and dancing to Christmas songs and lots of fun was had by everyone. Merry Christmas everyone!!!!

Yesterday lots of parents and carers came along to our Year 1 Marvellous Maths workshop. We did Big Maths and the adults joined in. We then looked at how we use a number line for addition and subtraction. We had lots of fun and everyone worked hard!!!!!
We had lots of parents and carers come along to our Year 2 Marvellous Maths session. We did karate calculations, to which ALL the adults joined in, then Speed Calc and finally word problems for the 4 operations. The adults worked very hard!
In Maths in Year one last week we looked at weighing different objects. We were finding out which object was the heaviest or lightest. It was a lot of fun using the mathematical vocabulary!!!
