PE and Healthy Living statement
Windy Nook Primary School consistently strives to promote active and healthy lifestyles and to provide sporting opportunities for all its pupils.
We offer competitive sport to encourage teamwork, discipline, self respect and how to cope with winning and losing. We also want the children to understand the importance of exercise and keeping healthy.
We do this through our PE and PSHE Curriculum and also through our after school sports, fitness and healthy cookery clubs.

Inter Sports Events 2025-2026
Inter-school competition is for years 3 to 13. At this stage individuals and teams will be selected to represent their school at inter-school competitions, many of which will be leagues. Schools will have the flexibility to decide which sports to enter but are encouraged to involve as many pupils as possible by creating breadth in the sports they offer and depth through the creation of additional teams.

Intra School Sports 2024-2025
For many young people sporting competition is the first experienced through intra-house teams, form groups or in PE lessons.
